The first clip has arrived online from A Most Violent Year, and features Jessica Chastain on absolutely scintillating form, teaching David Oyelowo a little lesson in respect.
Oyelowo plays the District Attorney looking into Oscar Isaac’s business dealings, and despite the latter’s unshakeable belief that he is an honest operator, it seems that things are a little murkier than that.
However, his wife (Chastain) is determined to fight his corner, and lets Oyelowo know in no uncertain terms that his “disrespect” will not easily be forgotten.

Chastain has been receiving a lot of early Oscar buzz on the back of her performance here, and on the strength of this latest footage, it’s not difficult to see why. Truly electric stuff…
Directed by J.C. Chandor and co-starring Albert Brooks and Alessandro Nivola, A Most Violent Year will open in the UK on 23 January 2015.
