Now this is good news. THR is reporting that the sequel to Goon, the awesome cult hockey movie starring Seann William Scott, will be directed by actor Jay Baruchel, making his directorial debut with this film. Baruchel is a major proponent behind the entire film, as he’s co-writing the screenplay with Jesse Chabot, and also starring again as Seann William Scott’s character’s friend Pat. Of course they’ve got Seann William Scott back as violent hockey player Doug “The Thug” Glatt and they’re already gearing up to start filming in June in Toronto. I’ve got a good feeling about this, it all sounds quite promising, especially with Baruchel. It was also revealed the title of this follow-up is Goon: Last of the Enforcers.
