The latest trailer paints a more full picture of the story that is to come in The Bikeriders, including revealing more about Hardy’s character, Johnny. Johnny becomes the leader of the Outlaws MC, and trailers tease a dark arc as he embraces increasingly violent ways to maintain his power. In keeping with past entries in his filmography, Hardy, who is British, is also using a new voice and accent for the role.

The main story will seemingly be told through the eyes of Butler’s Benny, however, following the character as he joins the gang in the 60s and becomes increasingly embroiled in their criminal antics. The role will seemingly mark another violent turn for Butler after his role in Dune: Part Two, with Benny shown getting himself into various fistfights. Unlike his Dune: Part Two character, though, Benny remains empathetic, and much of this stems from his budding relationship with Comer’s Kathy.

Also appearing in the trailer are characters played by Mike Faist, Damon Herriman, Boyd Holbrook, and Norman Reedus, speaking to just what a star-studded affair the movie will be. Reviews for The Bikeriders out of its festival premiere last year were mostly positive, suggesting Nichols’ vision and the cast have come together to make for a compelling movie-going experience.
