Posted on:

Now this is good news. THR is reporting that the sequel to Goon, the awesome cult hockey movie starring Seann William Scott, will be directed by actor Jay Baruchel, making his directorial debut with this film. Baruchel is a major proponent behind the entire film, as he’s co-writing the screenplay with Jesse Chabot, and also starring again as Seann William Scott’s character’s friend Pat. Of course they’ve got Seann William Scott back as violent hockey player Doug “The Thug” Glatt and they’re already gearing up to start filming in June in Toronto. I’ve got a good feeling about…

Cannes: First Looks at Son Of Saul, The Lobster, Irrational Man and The Sea Of Trees

Two potential prize-winners are already in the mix…It’s rare that two strong Palme D’Or contenders screen straight out of the gate, and this year’s awards buzz began with Laszlo Nemes’s Son Of Saul, an incredibly powerful Holocaust drama that has been accurately, if somewhat fantastically inappropriately, tagged “Gravity in Auschwitz” by the French press. Quentin Tarantino Says He Regrets Suing Gawker

Posted on:

ABC Quentin Tarantino famously sued Gawker and vowed not to make The Hateful Eight after his script was leaked, but that’s all in the past as Hateful approaches its late 2015 release. While Tarantino at one point narrowed the possible culprit down to six people, including Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, and Bruce Dern, and even filed a lawsuit against Gawker, he now tell Entertainment Weekly he never did find out who leaked it, and that his Gawker lawsuit really wasn’t about Gawker: The suit would subsequently be tossed out, refiled, and eventually dropped by Tarantino, who now admits that the legal saga ended up serving as more of a distraction than redress. “I almost regret the whole suing Gawker because it …
