Fox is officially moving forward with its TV sequel to Spielberg’s 2002 film “Minority Report”. The drama has scored a hefty put-pilot commitment along with a significant penalty attached.
The series will be set a decade after the end of the Precrime division in Washington D.C. One of the three Precogs now struggles to lead a “normal” human life but remains haunted by visions of the future.
He meets a female detective haunted by her past who may help him find a purpose to his gift. Max Borenstein (“Godzilla”) will pen the script and executive produce.
Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank will also executive produce for Amblin Television, Paramount Television and 20th Century Fox Television.
