“Nashville” co-star Oliver Hudson has signed on as one of the male leads in the high-profile straight-to-series comedy-horror anthology “Scream Queens” at FOX.
Hudson will take over from “True Blood” and “Magic Mike” star Joe Manganiello who was originally cast in the same role. Manganiello has pulled out of the project due to his “Magic Mike XXL” publicity commitments, and potentially his casting as Deathstroke in David Ayer’s “Suicide Squad” film which begins shooting next month.
Set to premiere this Fall, the story revolves around a college campus that is rocked by a series of murders. All that’s known about Hudson’s role is that he’ll be playing a DILF.
Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan will produce “Scream Queens” which includes the likes of Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Ariana Grande and Lea Michele. A second trailer for the show can be seen below:
