After extensively covered controversy and removal from major theater chains, Sony Pictures still released The Interview in theaters on Christmas Day, but only in over 300 independent theaters across the country. But the movie also got a boost from being made available on VOD outlets like YouTube, Xbox, Google Play and a site called Kernel that Sony used to make the movie available online. Since the release, Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg have been mostly quiet, with the exception of general hype and excitement, but a 23-minute interview with VICE from before the Los Angeles premiere of the film (which went off without a hitch) is now online featuring the filmmaking duo and co-star James Franco.
